Point of Entry (the Scar Project)
Point of Entry is a catalog of scars oil painted on fragments of broken mirror. A carved line defines the incision of the scar, allowing the viewer to see themselves reflected within.
Point of Entry seeks to amplify the stories of subjects from marginalized communities. These narratives are built from interviews on their experiences of how they overcame adversity, defied societal expectations, and healed from trauma.
Each piece of this mosaic invites the viewer to engage in the empathetic exchange of glimpsing into a life not their own and seeing a part of themselves.
The Team
Natasha Zeta (she/her) | Artist
Natasha Zeta is a Philadelphia-based painter and mixed media artist who creates interactive portraiture with broken mirror. She uses mirror as a tool to engage the viewer, allowing them to literally and metaphorically step into another perspective. Her work challenges viewers’ conceptions and gives them the opportunity to empathize with her subjects and practice being kinder to themselves.
Zeta seeks to dismantle the stigma surrounding mental health - not only by creating a platform for her subjects to share their own stories, but also to share each subject’s positive realizations on ways they can heal and grow.
Coming from a minority identity herself, Zeta’s work amplifies the stories of those who have been marginalized and seeks to strengthen the community from within.

“The quality of the fabric is so soft and natural. You can tell how unique each piece is and that makes every item she sells even more special.”
